Parent Information

Welcome BMS students and parents!  My name is Charise Fritz and I am a P.E. teacher at Burton Middle School.  I was born and raised in Visalia and graduated from Redwood High School. I  received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Physical Education at Fresno State University and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education at Fresno Pacific University.

In addition to teaching, I have over 20 years of child rearing experience raising my own children: Haley, Jonah, and Keenan and know how important this stage of development can be for adolescents.  As a physical education teacher here at BMS I strive to create a class that engages students at all levels of abilities.  I strive to create a class culture that embraces diversity and respects individual differences.  It is my hope, through a positive learning environment and class culture; students will develop an increased level of fitness as well as an increased level of confidence in their abilities so they can participate in a variety of sports and physical activity throughout their lifetime.

In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my 3 children and fiancée. We enjoy things such as sailing and kayaking in Los Osos, playing on the beach, snow skiing, hiking, swimming, and watching football.  We especially love Friday night movies, pizza, popcorn, and M&M’s.

I am looking forward to all the marvelous educational and extracurricular opportunities that await us here at BMS this school year!!!
